From - CRACKER CAVALIERS - The 2nd Georgia Cavalry under Wheeler and Forrest - John Randolph Poole there is a Martin Smith listed as a private - CAPTURED 10-9-63 AT SUGAR CREEK, TENN. there is a J.W. SMITH, private, 5-6-62, 30 years old. Present - 2-63, 11-63, 12-63, clothing was issued to him on 3-27-64.
