hi List,
Wonder if any one can help. I have a Maxwell Scott b 4 July 1874 at 66
Virginia Street,Aberdeen son of William H. Scott and Margaret Wallace.
He is not mentioned on the 1881 Census with the family.
I searched Scotland's people site for his death but no luck.
Question if he died at child birth would there be a death
cert?
If so where should Iook.
Thank you
Lorraine
Thanks to a suggestion of a kind fellow-lister, I examined the previous and
subsequent addresses for the above (which, incidentally, is also spelt
'Cooperstone'). They are, respectively, 'Freindship [sic] Farm' and 'South
Bridge'. Do these ring a bell with anybody?

I am wondering how would I get a birth certificate of someone born in
Aberdeen from 1892?
Thanks.

The Keith OPRs do not appear to have recorded any deaths after 1832.
And in any case, they would almost certainly have stopped in 1855, with
the start of compulsory Civil Registration of births, deaths and marriages.
You will find these on scotlandspeople.
