Searching for the parents of Ludivine GRANGER b. ca 1750, m. Jean BOURGEOIS in 1768 in LA. I have been told that Ludivine could possibly be named Ludivine Louise or Anastasie, but I have no documentation to that effect. Does nayone know the name of the county and or parish for Beaubassin in the 1700's? I think St.Anne was the parish name. Did the town name change and if so to what and when? My great-great grandfather Octave LeBlanc was born 8/2/1817 in Donaldsonville, La. and died about 1884 in St. Martinville, La. He was married to Dorlise Richard. In 1860, he was in the Donaldsonville, La.(1860 census) but moved after 1863 to St. Martinville area where my great-grandfather Desire was born.
