I have Elizabeth Bastarache and Jean Mouton marrying about 1763, but have no information further back, except for a note that says Elizabeth was the daughter of Anselm Bastarache. 10. Re: French translation [1]
Hi Angela... I believe that is "nous prjtre soussigni" (translation: means the priest who signed at the end of the document.) "Le 5 courant" means the present date of the 5th - I think the "vis" that you have would "nie le 5 courant" .. So she was baptized on the 10th of June 1889 but born the 5th. 17. St Jean Baptiste Church, Kent Co. NB [1]
Jeanine Grant Lister Writes: Regarding your note including the mention of a parish St-Jean-Baptiste, there was a parish (still is, I think) in Bouctouche, Kent County, NB, by that name. At one time Bouctouche was called Despres Village, but I don't know if it was ever known by any other names. Can anyone tell me where I can locate this parish register? -or would SKS look to see if a Michel Benoit &/OR Josephte-Josephe-Josette Lemire is listed in the records from 1760-1798. Thank you much, Kathy

Hi Fran... Andre, son of Daniel, did not have a son born in 1733. Given that he and his wife Marie Dugas married in 1683, she would have been 50 years old. Their last child was born in 1710.
