5. [AFR-ZAMBIA] CHURCH family [1]
Hello Zambia, I am hoping to find someone who is descended from the CHURCH family who went to "Northern Rhodesia" from South Africa. The only information I have, is that Ernest Alfred Montague CHURCH born 1888, married in Livingstone to Danella, but don't know her surname. Their children were Vera Danella, Joyce, Danella Beryl and Ernest Alfred. The family did return to SA, but Ernest Alfred did have two sisters, who may have married and remained in Zambia. They were Johanna Regina Vogel CHURCH,
6. Re: [AFR-ZAMBIA] AFR-ZAMBIA Digest, Vol 1, Issue 4 [1]
Hiya Sir Stewart Gore Brown & his estate Shiwa Ngandu were the subject of a book not so long ago by Christina Lamb. It was called The Africa House (the true story of an English Gentleman & his African dream) . The book is available through some second hand booksellers & it might provide some background & perhaps even a mention of the relative. I have been away for some weeks but hope this is of some help. I had two uncles who lived in Zambia from the mid-1920s and who married my father's two sisters, probably in Livingstone or Fort Jameson between 1927 and 1930. Both couples produced offspring who were born between 1930 and 1937. I would now like copies of the marriage and birth certificates and of my grandparents' death certificates dated 1941 and 1959. Is this possible and if so, please will someone tell me how to go about it and the cost per certificate. Many thanks. Colleen

Hello I'm helping a friend with her family tree and we are looking for the marriage of her uncle, Joe Savill and aunt Toni, but have no idea where to start as we've never researched outside of the UK before.
