Higgins on a register of Confederates buried in Oxford cemetery. The list appeared in Confederate Veteran magazine in 1910, and the name is just above another name for a veteran of the 22nd Alabama. No unit is listed for W. F. Higgins -- he is listed as a member of an unknown Alabama unit.
