I need directions to a cemetery in Blaine, AL.
I believe Blaine is close to Cherokee Co, AL.
And I believe the Davis Cemetery was a little Family
Cemetery that was on private property in 1960.
If anyone has direction to this Cemetery for someone
coming from Kentucky (Starting at the Interstate Exit). I would really
appreciate it. Thank you, Connie
Wanda,
If I understand it, the certified copy is exactly like the one which can be
printed from the BLM website. The online order blank currently has $2.00
as the cost. It can be ordered online or an order form can be printed and
then used to order by mail.
The BLM website is found at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/

I'm looking for information on the Costner family that lived in the
Anniston area sometime in the early 1900s. My husband's grandmother
Nora Thompson (maiden name) was married to Edward Costner for only three
months before he had a heart attack and died. We have found his
gravesite along side her father-in-law, George Franklin Rankin. There
is also the gravesite of baby Edward Costner.

Does anyone have any information on the Mary Prater listed in the 1850 Blount Co., AL and 1860 Walker Co., AL census?
1850
Mary is listed with James, Jinney, Nancy, Franklin, Avarilla and James Partin (don't know who he was).
1860
Mary is living with daughter Jinney, James B., Alissa and Thomas.
In 1860, two doors down is her son James with Elizabeth (probably his wife) and sister Avarilla.
Haven't been able to locate any of them except Franklin after 1860.

Where would I look for land records in Bay Minette or Perdido,Alabama going
back to 1924 or before. Annette.
On December 7th, 1941, it was our custom to get up and attend church. However
on this morning several of us had fever, sore throats and a hacking cough. So
our parents kept us all in bed giving us the usual home remedies.
I was half asleep when suddenly I began to hear church bells ringing. At
first, there were only a few and then more and more joined in until bells were
ringing throughout the entire city of Columbus, Georgia.

The 15th Confederate Regiment was organized in the spring of 1864 (not at Gettysburg) and was made up of companies that had been guarding the coast for two or three years.
The company letter designation would likely have been changed at the time the Regiment was formed.
