Mrs. Susie Mosely, 86, a resident of Route 3 Georgiana, died Sunday, June 19,
1994, in a Greenville Hospital.
Funeral services were held June 22 from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the
Rev. Joseph Ray officiating. Burial was in the churchyard cemetery, Johnson
Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Florence Clausen, Odessa, Texas, Mrs.
Ferristine Ball, Andalusia; one son, Forest Mosely, Meridian, Miss; five

BLEDSOE, Mrs. Lois Morrow, 74, a resident of Rt. 5 Pearl River, La., and
formerly of Georgiana, died November 29, 1989 in Slidell, La. Funeral
services were December 2, 1989 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Leon Majors officiating. Burial in Morrow Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home

It was brought to my attention that there was an error in the original
newspaper obiturary for Green W. Hitson. A brother listed as Henry Hitson
from Tuscaloosa, was in fact Kendrick Hitson. His full name was John Kendrick
Hitson.

Betty Jo Grant Davis, 63, of Huntsville and formerly of Greenville, died on
Tuesday, September 19, 1995, after a long illness. Graveside services were
held on Friday, September 22, at 11 a. m. in Huntsville. She is survived by
her mother, Nettie Ruth Smith Grant of Alexander City; one son, Clark Davis,
California; one daughter, Cindy Carrick, Huntsville; three sisters, Bobby Jean
Wright, Huntsville, Melba Ruth Ballard, Alexander City, Marian Carol
Greathouse, Montgomery; three grandchildren.

George Travis Bolling, of Chickasaw, died in Mobile Infirmary on Tuesday,
February 23, 1993.
Memorial services were held at Radney Chapel in Saraland on Friday, February
26, at 10 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Gary Divine. Graveside services were
held at Providence Cemetery in Georgiana at 2 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise M. Bolling; two daughters, Mrs. Linda

Firmon (spelling could vary) Middleton of the Garland - Evergreen -
Greenville area. His grandfathers were Matthew Howton with the 26th Ala.
Inf. CSA and James S. Middleton with the 36th Ala. Inf. CSA. I have much on
other siblings of this family and would be delighted to share.

Now, I'm hoping you can help me clear up a mystery about my
great-grandparents. I recently found their Butler County marriage
registration, which lists the following:
Mr. J.H. YOUNG (26) and Miss Mollie WEAVER (20) registered for marriage with
J.L. POWELL, J.O.P. on September 17, 1886 in Butler County. The
registrations says the marriage occurred October 3, 1886 at the Mrs. DAVIE's
(Davis?) residence, and was legitimized by S.J. CAMP

with the Church at Antioch, Conecuh Co., AL Sep 19, 20, and 21, 1914.
