1. [ALCHAMBE-L] Francis Marion Sims, Stephen Daniel Sims, & Wm. Hampton Sims (1850-1900) [1]
Parents of Stephen Daniel Sims (1855-1892) and William Hampton Sims (1857-1907), Chambers County AL Francis Marion Sims (1829-after 1900) and his wife, Sarah, (1828-after 1900) are presumed to be the parents of Stephen Daniel Sims (1855-1892) and Charles William Hampton Sims (1857-1907), but there is no irrefutable proof of my presumption and both the 1860 and the 1880 censuses present some difficulties for my claim. Francis Marion is F. M. Sims in the 1860 and 1900 censuses, but Francis Sims in the 1880

Hello: I am new to this list and need help: I am trying to help a cousin with her genealogy. I have seen and copied the page from the transcripted Chambers County Marriage Book which gives the date for the marriage of William D. Haynes and Lucretia H. Pace as November 9, 1854. We have some reason to believe this date of 1854 may be incorrect. Pehaps the entry in the transcripted version may be a typo, perhaps not. I do not have any of these names. I have the probate records for John McCrelless Sr. and he lists McCrelless, Betsy which is Elizabeth, Milly (Mildred) and Wilson Corley. Wilson's first given name was Simpson. They may have had other children however. A Sherwood, is also mentioned. These maybe others maybe related I just do not have them. Thanks for this information. If I understand it correctly, McCrellis Corley who married Martha Simpson in 1861, had a brother named Simpson Wilson Corley. Sooo, I would guess that Simpson's married into the Corley family before Martha. Or maybe they just named him for some Simpson. I would love to know more.
