I believe that only a portion of the Perry County census exists for 1890, but I should be able to find something for you from 1880 and 1900. Anita

9. Re: Fwd: 1860-1880 question about area [1]
Leslie, That part of Chilton County was once part of Autauga County. I believe the line was either just above or just below Clanton before 1868. My ancestors lived at Coopers where the Chestnut Creek Baptist Church is located. Hope this helps. Irma J. 10. Re: Fwd: Atkinson family--1860 census [1]
Leslie, I have the book on the 1870 Baker County (Chilton County) Census and could not find any William C. Atkinson listed. He would be about 12 then. In 1860, Chilton County had not been established. Baker County was established in 1868 and I believe the records start in 1869. The name was changed in 1872. Chilton County was formed from Bibb, Shelby, Autauga and a little bit of Perry Counties. For the 1860 census, you should try these counties. Bibb County Alabama 1860 Census is in book form but

Would anyone be able to look in the 1900 Chilton Co census to see if there is a family named ATKINSON. I am trying to find the William C. Atkinson family, wife Nora. He may have died by that year, I'm not sure. Just know that his last child was born in 1897. Thank you for any help anyone is willing to give. Leslie Hill
