Mel, you need to read the posting on the Henry County site about the old
Windham Cemetery in Dale County. They are buried there in now unmarked
graves. This cemetery is on private land and is very difficult to find.

>Subject: [Dale County Alabama] Gravessites for John and Virginia Jane
I have been to the old Windham Cemetery. It is not easy to find and is in the middle of some woods, not far from the Windham Bridge. There are only two gravestones left, and I have taken pictures of both of them. There is a huge old tree there and next to the tree is a large hole where an old gravesite was at one time. I can only assume that one of the graves was moved. If anyone needs pictures of either of the remaining graves, I can email them to you. It is a shame that the cemetery is gone and all that
Does anyone know where John Windham and his wife Virginia Jane Mixon or Bartlett Windham are buried? Do they have head stones?
Some descendents of Rachel Windham Lee are trying to find unmarked graves of their ancestors and put markers on them.
John died in Dale County but we are not sure about Jane.
Any informtion will be appreciated. Thanks MEL

Lawrence Dillard,
I don't have your email address anymore, hope you see this message.
I am still doing research on the Harper family. You mentioned in your
genealogy tree that you sent me that William Harper is buried in Harper
Cemetery in Covington, AL. Do you know where that cemetery is located, I
can't seem to find any info on it.
Thanks
