Searching for descendants of John Francis Conoley who came to Dallas Co. in 1833. He married Mary Elizabeth Pitts. They had 7 children; Endora, Louis Alexander, Anna Eliza, John Francis, William Noel, Frank Hamilton, and Douglas Fleming. J.F. Conoley was a merchant, sheriff, lawyer, and judge. I am researching the OLIVER surname. Specifically, I am searching for the relatives of one THEODORICK OLIVER - he is my major brick wall. I do not know any information about his parents or siblings. He is listed as being born in 1799 in either Tennessee or Virginia. He is listed in the 1850 US Louisiana Census as being from Virginia and his children list him as being from either Virginia or Tennessee in the 1860, 1870 & 1880 US Census in both Louisiana and Texas. Ann: I have records on Alexanders who migrated to Dallas County Ala as early as 1819-1820, from Christian County, Kentucky, in a large migration of Armstrong-Woods-Read-Alexander-McGough families. In particular, an Abigail Alexander was married to Thomas Woods, Jr. They had a large family, Also, as I remember it, Alexanders were associated with the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in northern Dallas County. ALEXANDER family Seeking information on Alexanders living in Dallas County in mid 1800's. Sample ALEXANDER and wife Abigail; James S. ALEXANDER and wife Eliza; Ulysses ALEXANDER. All were in 1850 census. Sample had probably been in Dallas County since 1840 or earlier. James S. was married to Eliza Russel in Dallas County in 1847. James S. moved west to Pontotoc County, MS by 1860. Sample had followed him to MS by 1870. The Abigail ALEXANDER who died in 1859 and is buried in Fulford Cemetery in Dallas Co

I need as much information as possible about the children of Telitha Toole b. abt. 1776 and Nathaniel Waller (Maryland). I have McCraw in my Tadlock line. The Tadlock's were in Perry Co. mostly but some in Dallas Co. also. You might check Perry Co. and see if they are there. Linda

In 1879, there was a James Sample who was clothier and tailor in Selma. And in the Live Oak Cemetery there is a John A. Sample, 1873/1941 buried along with his wife, Laura B. Eddy Sample, b. 3 July 1879 and d. 2 Sept 1936. This information was taken from the book," Selma, Her Institutions and Her Men" and from the listings for the Live Oak Cemetery in the City of Selma. Looking for information on a Caldwell Family who lived in Orville, Alabma later moving to Prichard, Alabama. Father, George; wife Lucy; children, John Roosevelt, Daisey and stepdaughter Helen. John Roosevel attended Mobile County Training School in Mobile, graduated and attended Straight College in New Orleans. Daisey died in her early thirtys or late twentys in Mobile. She had no children. I think the family would have been in Orville prior to 1912. John was born on May 2, 1912.

I am seeking any information on F.Moses McCULLERS, Private in Co.E, 30th Alabama Inf. Regiment. He enlisted March 6th in Calhoun Co. AL, was mustered into Confederate Service at Camp Curry,Talledega, AL on March 29, 1862. Was killed in 2nd Manassas Battle. F. Moses was the son of Moses McCULLOUGH. Moses and F. Moses according to family lore, came from Scotland to Texas in/abt. 1837. From Texas they came to AL. There were two other known siblings of F. Moses: James and Charlie. Birthplaces
