4. Re: AL FGS Project [1]
Thanks for all the replies to my QUESTION. Agree with the basic problem with FTM. But, you can control the actual "printing" of single FGS' with the print command. Then if you have a scanner, you can convert it to a Word.doc. It's a little trouble for the individual, but not nearly as bad as a complete re-type. Of course, if no scanner, you're right back at ground zero. I'll check that other software -- and again, thanks for the replies. Jim N. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Allison & Scott Sa

7. Re: AL FGS Project [1]
Jim: While I can't answer for Allison I am assuming it's because she needs the FGS to be in either txt or HTML format and submitting a hardcopy or PDF copy of a FGS will make for more than a significant amount of work for her, it would be overwhelming. If you go back to the page where the form is and click on "Alternative Ways to Submit" you'll see where she has explained the situation, has one solution (though it is complicated) and is asking for any other suggestions to get the FGS into txt or HTML form

QUESTION: Many of us have FamilyTreeMaker, or similar, software that automatically generates Family Group Sheets. Can these submissions not be accepted? Otherwise, filling out new forms creates a significant workload for those who may wish to contribure. regards, Jim N. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Allison & Scott Saxman" To: Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2003 6:07 PM Subject: AL FGS Project > Dear Lamar List: > > A new national project has just gott

11. Re: FW: Damaging Virus: HOAX!! [1]
This is a hoax and an old one at that. Do not remove jdbgmgr.exe from your computer it is a Windows system file. Here is a link to Symantec's web site explaining the virus-hoax and how to restore the file if you have already deleted it. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html If you had gone to any search engine typed in jdbgmgr.exe you would have gotten several links all of which explain that it is a hoax. Everyone should check out any virus warning they get with Symantec, Mc
12. AL FGS Project & file types [1]
Kathi: You hit the nail on the head! The files submitted have to be in either .txt or .htm or .html in order for me to be able to quickly get them integrated into the website and uploaded! If I had to tinker around with reformatting everyone's FGSs, it would be incredibly overwhelming! I have used PDF files but am not familiar enough with the program to really know if a PDF file would work in terms of the search engine. Perhaps if you have a chance to give me your thoughts about how that would work, ma

23. Re: [ALLAMAR] HARTON, Greene Thomas [1]
I also would like to know the answer for this. Dr. Harton was my mother's family doctor, and she remembered going to Dr. Harton's funeral when she was a little girl. She said they had two silver dollars on his eyes to keep them closed. At one time my family thought of buying Dr. Harton's house on the road that leads to Antioch Cemetery. Thanks for reviving memories, I hope someone can help you. Eddy A. Flick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathy McClendon" To:
