5. UNMARKED CEMETERIES IN LAMAR CO,AL [1]
The Lamar Co.Genealogical and Historical Society is trying to place name markers at these cemeteries. And road signs near by,if the cemetery is off the main road.They accept donations for whatever cemetery you wish to donate to.We appreciate the local boy scouts and individuas who have volunteered to install these signs.Several cemeteries have already been marked.If you are interested in this project contact the society at P.O. The Lamar County Genealogical and Historical Sociey will meet Feb. 11,2002 at 6 pm a the Lamar Extention Office next door to the Citizens State Bank. Come and bring someone with you. Note the time change back to 6 pm. You do not have to be a member to attend.
