You can probably find them on the LOC web site, I am doing a research thing on the MANNING collection from the WPA HABS project, I found his works on the LOC site and can even print them out - him and Dr, Burkhart were chosen to do Alabama Historic Buildings, Mannng is my childrens ggrandfather. Dear List Members: I'm looking for information and the location of a photo collection of Charles R. Hixon. a mechanical engineering professor who made the photos in the 1930's of former slaves from area plantations during the WPA interviews. Hixon collection was exhibited a few times and may be at Auburn University or some other location. I believe he was employed at AU and was related to the Graham/Hixon/Rumph families in the area and other staff members at AU. Thanks for you time. JoAnn jnorman578

We are seeking information on the HAWS family, formerly of the Auburn area. Some members moved to TX. abt. 1870 -' 80, while others remained in AL. The family changed the spelling to HAUSE.
