Let me catch up with you. I had almost 700 email when I got back and, of
course, more coming in all the time. I do believe I have the marriage list,
but let me check and get back with you.

I'm hoping someone can point me toward an image of
a "waggon" such as might have been driven during the
spring/summer of 1849 by the owner of a rather large
Montgomery plantation to tour east Texas looking for
the ideal place to establish a new plantation. Two
men and possibly a driver made the journey, and many
nights they "camped" along the way. I suppose it
would have some sort of covered wagon, and would like
to find an appropriate image for illustrating the
transcription of a travel journal, as w

ancestors that lived and worked in the Orion, Al. area of Pike County.
Many of my great aunts, and uncles, and my Great Grandfather Donald McDonald
were born in Orion. Donald McDonald was born 1843.
If you have come by any materials, or census information with this family
(A.C. McDonald/MacDonald and Charlolette) please let me know where to find it. I
am presently working with the Librarian in the genalogy office at Troy, Al.

Hello all,
Would anyone know where Ramah, Montgomery Co., AL? Was this the 2nd District
of Montgomery Co., Al in 1840/1850?
Doe anyone know of a good internet site that might have a great detailed map
of the above time period or even one of today?
Thanks
Bushy
I answered my own question:

Hello! I am still a member of AOL but have not been able to access my email
very often. I moved to Blount County (Ala.) back in January and have recently
bought a place in North Blount County near the Cullman and Marshall County
lines. It looks like my local phone line will come from Arab, Alabama.
Below are the current mailing addresses for reaching me by snail mail. If
ever in the area, feel free to stop by and say ,"Hello." If traveling through
Blount County, you take Hwy 231 North through Bloun
I have been to Blount County a couple of times. I have distant cousins who have a home near Cullman. They also have a home in Huntsville, my mother's family lives there, but these are my dad's relatives.
This is a real coincidence. If I ever have money to buy gas to go that far, I definately will stop by. I really do want to do some more research there, but it will not be soon.

What was listed as "Ramah" in some of the mid-19th century Montgomery Co. census records is the same as the modern "Ramer," in southern Montgomery County. I believe the "2nd District" included Ramer and the southern part of the county.
Bushy also asked:
"Doe anyone know of a good internet site that might have a great detailed map of the above time period or even one of today?"
I am looking for the cemeteries for Angus Robertson, and Archibald C.
MacDonald/McDonald. They both lived in Montgomery after 1860.
If anyone comes by this, please forward the cemetery site to me;

Thank you.
HI Carolyn,
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Sadly no one volunteered to photograph Greenwood Cem. or the Confederate
Cem. the Hills Chapel Cemetery would be fine but credit should be given to
Mary Henley and if a link could be posted to the Rollo Cousins web page that
would be super so the researchers can find more documentation and help from
our web page.

Hey, Bushy,
Are you going to post the photos to the USGenWeb Tombstone/Archives Project
as well? Just wondering as they would make a nice addition to the
Montgomery website.
Thanks much,
