2. Family History Video Questions [1]
Hi, I'm not selling anything (yet), just doing a little market research. I am a multiple, national award winning videographer. I worked for another company doing this for 10 years and lost my job. I am giving heavy consideration to doing family history and personal biography videos for individuals such as yourself. Is that something you would be interested in having done (or have you laready had it done)? What would you be willing to pay for such a service (considering it meets your expectations)? Than

8. Re: FTM look up please [1]
Robert, My mistake--I did not understand the terminology in the link as I am new to FTM. After making a list of look ups--I decided to go with the online subscription(which I missed the first time around, unfortunately) for 1 month as we have common given names such as John, Mary, Ann, etc. I think for $10.00 it may be easier to search my self rather than depending on someone else to find the information. Thank you for your help, Vickie "Robert Heiling" wrote in message news:3EDE99

I agree with Lori - Portcia or Portdin - or the "o" maybe an "a". Have you tried to find her in any later census? Pat Regirlul8 wrote: >Line 45. 15. Follow-up regarding genealogy.com refund [1]
Well, I finally received it. I ordered the deluxe one year back in mid March, and it took them over a week to charge it to my account -- by which time I had already called in to cancel. The disks arrived even later, and I simply did the "return to sender" on them. In April and May I called to follow up, but with the corporate takeover changes they said it would probably take 6-8 weeks for the credit.... Which pretty much sucked. So finally, I called again over the weekend to see what was going on and th

19. Re: Year on this photo? [1]
I think your analysis is correct, but you should carefully note that you do not have an exact date for the photo, and the assumptions you made in the approximate date. Some research into whether it was customary to hold a diploma in graduation photographs of the time might be in order. Some cautions on your date - the hairstyles of the woman and little girls are more typical of later in the 20's. I have a suggestion in scanning your photographs. ALWAYS scan in full color, at extremely high resolution

21. Re: 1900 & 1910 census indexes? [1]
Go to Genealogy.com, they are running a promo for a free 14 day trial which includes the Census indexes (INCLUDING 1900 AND 1910). You have to give them a payment method that they don't charge until the 14 days are up. If you don't want to continue, make sure you call to cancel before the 14 days are up. I had looked up FHC in KY but didn't find one anywhere as close as Tompkinsville. I go there once in a while to shop at WalMart. I guess I had better check that out. I used to go to one in Kingman, AZ when I lived there and it was great. Helped me a great deal. Will check this out. Looks like Wednesday would be a good day for me to go there and see what they have or can help me with. I do, however, have a lot of KY ancestry, being born and raised in Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA most of my life I didn't even
