I have been trying to find info about a James M. ALLEN, M.D.,and Eleanor G. WILLIAMS who were married in Macon Co., AL, in 1867. The last mention I find made of Eleanor is on the 1880 Census where she is farming in Lee County, Loachapoka, with 3 children. She is a widow at that time. James apparently died between 1870 and 1880. I'm looking for information on Samuel Kennedy who moved to Alabama from Fairfield county, S.C. with his wife and 8 children in approx 1834. He purchased land in Coosa County which later was incorporated into Tallapoosa County. He died in 1840 and according to his next to the youngest son James, by the time the estate was settle Samuels wife, Mary Murff Kennedy had very little left.
