Panther, thanks so much for sharing this article! This is the greatest news I've read in a long, long time!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful, if every town had a Mayor like E. Dana Dickens III!

Greetings, Friend!
Siyo, Canali!
Conventional wisdom proclaims there was little intermarriage or cultural
exchange between the American Indians of the Southeast and the English
and other Europeans who came to dominate the region--this in stark
contrast to the richly documented stories of "mestizaje" (mixed blood)
in the Southwest, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada.
There is increasing evidence that some families with Southern roots are
descended from marriages between Sephardic Jewish traders and the
daughters
Hello everyone out there. There is a great website on Thanksgiving and the creation of the Myth. It is the website for the Plymouth Plantation Museum......That's right....good ol' Plymouth of the Pilgrims! The museum's website has wonderful information about the Making of the Myth of Thanksgiving. They also have great publications they sell that address the topic. You can visit it at http://www.plimoth.org
Did you all know that the first thing that the Puritans ( they didn't call themselves Pilgri

Thank you for your interest in this study. I must clarify some things before
the discussion gets out of hand. My research interest with this project is a
very, very narrow area--the descendants of marriages between Sephardic Jewish
Indian traders and Southeastern American Indian chiefs' daughters. Even more
narrowly than that, I am truly interested only in my own Jewish-Cherokee-Choctaw
family and the other trader families we associated with. Is that exclusive
Hi, Singing Water!

Hi all,
I recently bought a portrait of a native man, an elder, printed on
wood from ebay. I felt a strong spirit connection the moment I saw him and
felt he was calling to me to bring him home. I immediately felt a kinship and
began to call him Grandfather. The portrait was from an estate sale somewhere
in the southwest. The other day someone told me they thought it was a
portrait of Grandfather David Monongye. Does anyone know of a photo of
Grandfather David online? I would be honored to know

Hi Everyone,
Well I am finally back and I really missed all of you alot. I got
moved into my new home and I am finally finished unpacking.
I got one surgery out of the way before leaving Florida, but this next one
will have to wait for about 2 months. You all know me. There is no way I
could sit idle all that time.
So last night I did three names on the FREEDMEN PROJECT. They are:
