I just came across a bit of information I have had actually for quite some
time, taken from a book called "Colonial & revolutionary Families of
Pennsylvania" and after looking at at it carefully and penciling it out as I
went, I see that it conflicts with the ANDERSON information I have concerning
James and Elizabeth (Jerman) ANDERSON and their family.
I show that James ANDERSON came indentured to Thomas JERMAN who with his wife
Elizabeth had 2 daughters, Elizabeth and Mary. James married daughter

I would have said that the James Anderson and Elizabeth Jarman (Jerman)
referred to below were the grandparents of the Andersons who were early
settlers of western VA and southeastern OH, however, the research I did on
this family in Chester County, PA led me to believe the parents of this
Elizabeth were Thomas and Elizabeth Jarman (Jerman) not John and Margaret.
Perhaps others can help clear this up.

The 1880 census has my Isaac Anderson, age 35 as being born in MO with both
parents born in VA. I find a Isaac Brown Anderson with a land patent in
this county dated 1835. I believe he is probably the young Isaac's father.
Is anyone else researching this line?

Seeking any information on Benjamin Anderson b. 1780 ca. in VA. Married to
Hester? Found on Warren Co, KY census of 1810, age 26-44. A Benjamin
Anderson is enumerated in Davidson Co, TN in 1840, age 50-60. By 1850,
family was in Lawrence Co, TN and Benjamin was 70 years old. Will gladly
share information.
Especially interested in Samuel Anderson b. 1817 ca. as a possible son of
the above Benjamin. Samuel married Dyara Cook of Lawrence Co in 1839 and
they are on the 1840 Lawrence Co census.
My Anderson branch is my husbands side of the family. It goes back to
Richard Anderson I, b. 1580 in England. It is the largest family file I
have and I am still not finish typing my info to my site. I just thought you
all might want to look at it and see if there could possible be any
connection. I have enough info to keep me busy for a while but I will always
except more!

My gg grandfather, John D. Anderson married Edith Lucinda Lipps in Overton Co. Tn ca 1844/45.She was the dau. of James M. and Frances Norris Lipps. Nothing is known about who John D's parents were, although his mother may have been a Peggy Poteet.
John and Lucinda are in AR. by 1850 according to the Carroll Co. AR census.
I am hoping someone may be researching this family in TN. Would appreciate any help and will share information.

Hello listers,
I have been away for a while and thought that I would repost my dilema. I
am trying to find the parents of John Anderson, born @1752 and d. 9/22/1815
in Chillicothe, OH. He came to Chillicothe from the Charles Town/Harper's
Ferry region around 1800. He came with his wife Deborah Swartz
(1754-12/2/1827) and the following children: Levi Anderson (1790-1846),
Abigail, Polly, John. He also had the following children from a previous
marriage(s): Mahlon, Gershom, Jonathon and Rebecca.
It has been confirmed. Mary PATE ANDERSON THOMAS ANDERSON. She was first
married Wylie then Marion Floyd THOMAS then John Anderson. All between 1896
and 1910. All in Greene County Indiana. Anyone related to either?

I am trying a longshot in my research into the parents of Jacob ANDERSON
about (1784-1850). Family stories say he was born in New York. Jacob was
married in Scioto Co., OH in 1814.
The 1820 census for Scioto Co., OH also lists an Elijah ANDERSON of an age
that could be Jacob's father. Also there is a Cornelius ANDERSON of an age
that could be a brother of Jacob.
The 1790 census for Montgomery Co., NY lists an Elijah ANDERSON with two
sons.
Does anyone have any information on these people?
Jim
