Hello ALL and especially John Fox and Bob Henderson:
It's been a while. The 1748-1754 info on William JAY has perked my interest. I
had not had that info. I'm interested in possible JAY and HENDERSON connection
in Virginia with my ancestor, Andrew CADDEL. William JAY and son, John GREEN,
and Francis, William, Richard and Argulus HENDERSON and John ANDERSON were
listed in 1755 tax list of Orange Co., NC with Andrew. Andrew's oldest son John

Okay, like a real good mystery? Here goes,
If Mary PATE married Wily ANDERSON in 1892, then how could she have a
daughter, Gladys THOMAS in 1897? I have always been told that Gladys was
raised by her father Marion THOMAS and his mother Mary (?). I was also told
that Marion THOMAS and Mary PATE were divorced and then she married Mr.
ANDERSON. What is up? She went by ANDERSON till she died. HELP!

Where is the Bible from? I don't think this is any relation to me, but it
might help others (with Anderson being such a common name) to know the
whereabouts of the family.
My 2 cents,

Well, okay for those of you who may be as confused as I, Mary PATE married
Wylie R. ANDERSON in 1892 (no children that I know of). He died in 1897 so
in 1897 she married Maron THOMAS. She then gave birth in 1897. Problem.
Can't find a divorce record. Also, I knew her as Grandma ANDERSON. Now
