1. New Admin, Roll Call, and Brickwalls [1]
Hello All, I would like to let everyone know that I am the new admin for this list and would like to kick things off with a roll call and BRICKWALL call. So list your ancestors, and most of all your BRICKWALLS. You never know -- there may just be someone else researching your family. Any questions or comments just let me know. Sincerely, Joan Asche List Admin. -- GenExchange http://www.genexchange.org Newspaper Abstracts http://www.newspaperabstracts.com/index.shtml Homepage http://www.jasche.com

Hi folks, Just to let everyone know that any replies to posted messages can be answered by hitting the reply button. When I took over the list I configured it so that all replies go back to the list and not to the sender. This is for the benefit of all members to see the replies as well as the questions or comments. All mail must be sent in PLAIN text. Rootsweb servers will not accept mail in rich text or html settings. Sincerely, Joan List Admin. -- GenExchange http://www.genexchange.org Newspaper
3. Jacob Anderson and Susannah Buchanan [1]
Hello, I am a descendant of Jacob Anderson and his wife Susannah Buchanan. They lived around Montgomery co Va in the 1700s. Their daughter Rebecca is my ancestor, the wife of John Hash. I would like to know who the ancestors of Jacob and Susannah are. This couple is said to have come from N. J. down to VA. I'm willing to exchange information. Thanks. Cathy Bell cjbell@inebraska.com
4. Re: [ANDERSON-GRAYSONCOVA] Jacob Anderson and Susannah Buchanan [1]
Dear Cathy, I go no further back than my Lewis Anderson, born in Grayson Co., VA in 1788. I don't know anything about his family. The next information about him is that he was "converted" and joined Rev.Peter Cartwright and road with him to preach in Jonesboro, Washington Co., Roane Co. and Clayborn Co., TN. Does this give you any help? Hope to hear from you soon. Pat Ely ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cathy Bell" To: Sent: Monday, Ja

7. Helpful Hints #1 [1]
I thought now would be a good time to post a few helpful hints to make your participation on Rootsweb Mailing Lists a pleasant one. These suggestions are not geared towards anyone one person so please don't take it personally. Some of you may already know about this so think of it as a refresher, and Newbies please read carefully. 1.)Don't send TEST messages to a list that you have not received any mail from. * First, check the LIST ARCHIVES to see if any mail has been posted to the list. *You can
