Can anyone tell me how long there has been a newspaper in the Jonesboro area and what might still be available and where. I can find no record of the death or burial spot of my great grandmother. Her name was Mary Ray. She married Alanson Taylor, son of Albert Franklin Taylor. Alanson died in 1891 and I assume that she had already passed as he and the children were living with his parents when he died. THANKS--Phyllis
Thanks!
Fred

Mr. M. C. Wallace is responsible for the following:

No it is not a silly question at all, Earlene.
These indexes are to the books that I have recently compiled from the
microfilmed newspapers of Crawofrd County.
If you don't live near Arkansas and would like to see the newspapers, it is
very possible that your Local LDS center will order the microfilmed
newspaper for your on loan from their main library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I have transcribed the articles from the newspapers but understand that it
might not be worth the risk to buy a book not knowing
Have any of you seen, or could you find, any information about Henry James

citizens.
Mrs. Margaret Dyer, who was once the widow of Dr. D. D. Williams, died
recently near Belmont, this county. She was one of the oldest settlers in
