Hi:
A kind lady is sending the complete book of the HISTORY OF CRAWFORD
COUNTY. ARK by Clara Eno to the Sebastian Co. mail list - chapter by
chapter. In the foreward Clara Eno gives permission for people to feel
free to copy her work. I'm including the entire group of names in this
chapter.
The John HInds of KY , Esther Eppler (widow of John Hinds), Margaret

Can anyone tell me anything about the Thomas & Phyllis Hinds
Hello everyone,
I'm still looking for a cemetery on the property of William Reeves in the
1840's. I just found an article about a store in Mulberry which is near
the line between Franklin & Crawford counties. Both Wm. Galloway & Wm.
Reeves are listed as purchasers there. Also an Elizabeth Mays who may be
"Auntie Betsy Mays" mentioned in family papers. Further evidence that
these are my family are members of the Bean family, who were neighbors of
William Galloway, are also listed as purchasers the
Hi John,
Thanks very much for the info, but I'm afraid it will be some time before
I'm able to
travel to Arkansas to look for myself. I live in Kansas & work full time
plus have a small farm with my husband. That's why I'm asking for
assistance from folks who know or live in the area in finding the family
cemetery. I really wish I could do it myself.
Do you happen to know the name of the folks who own the farm? Perhaps they
could direct me to the present day owner of the land that was previously

I have found so far that there are two ways to search the archives. The
first given below is searched by keyword .
The second address below is to search the Threaded Archive. It is split
into months
- so you get an entire month at a time. This is good for those who leave

Hi folks!
I thought this little biography of the governor of Arkansas at the beginning
of the WBTS I ran across on the CSA-History-L mailing list might be of some
interest.

Hi:
Apologies if I sent this a couple days back. I haven't spotted it on my
Auto-filed copies so hope this is the first time.
I found this index while wandering the web. If you find some of your
names on it you may want to buy the book.
One point - it does not tell what dates that it covers. My Crawford Co.
surnames are not on it and they were there in the 1830s and 1840s so
possibly this covers other dates or other counties. OR - the most likely
reason - the AR Gazette was for the entire state a
Hi everyone,
I found a bunch of May, Mays, Mayes in Crawford Co. around the time frame
that my ancestor William Galloway & family lived there. Family notes say
that the children went to live with Aunt Betsy Mays after their parents
died. I don't have a clue who she was or the actual relationship (but
could be a Reeves). I'm especially interested in the ones that lived in
Mulberry Twp as that is where W. Galloway is listed on the 1840 census.
If anyone has any info about these folks I would love to
FTP is still alive and well on the 'net, so I'd guess that the sites you had
bookmarked have been moved or changed over to http. You might try taking out
the ftp and adding www to see what happens...
