4. Re: [ARFAULKN] Cleaning and Reading Old Headstones [1]
Thanks for posting that, Becky. It actually makes me pretty unhappy, because several of our headstones at New Liberty were "shaving creamed" recently. These stones are 100 to 150 years old, and in bad shape as it is...and now, the way it looks, my g g grandparents, g grandfather, and my aunts and cousins buried there now have stones that are deteriorating at a more rapid rate. I'm going to have to call the caretaker of the cemetery (well, she's sort of a caretaker) and have her hire someone to go out and

6. Re: [ARFAULKN] Re: Ellen SHAW Obit [1]
She was Ellen Whelus. Became the second wife of J. T. (John Thomas) Shaw on 5 Sept.1884 in Elmore Co AL. She would have been stepmother to Beckie Glover, Susie White, S. S. Shaw, etc. They must have come to AR shortly after they were married. The family researchers seem to think his first wife was Rebecca White, but I have marriage license for Margaret Shepphard (died in AL) and this Ellen.. She is on the 1920 (I think) census living with Augustus and Beckie Glover as Nancy E. and noted as mother-in-law

Hi, The marriage date for Susan and Manly is 11/01/1863, and you are CORRECT on Minnie's death date. I also have 02/20/1910. I must have let my eyes wonder. According to my Mom, some ancestors of hers ran a boarding house for railroad workers in Baring Cross. My husband and myself had our first home together after we
