Hi,
I was wondering where in proximity to Pleasant Ridge is Union Township?
We are still chasing after Jim's Great Grandmother Sophronia Davenport
Wiseman Montgomery. For the 1870 Census, I have written down four
Wiseman households. John, Mary and Thomas are all on pg # 180 in Union
Twp, while Sophronia is on pg #165 in Pleasant Ridge.. We know she was
with the Wiley C. King family at that time.
Thank you,
Judie Montgomery
Jackie,
I also would like a copy, or transcript, of the obit for Margaret Casey
Rosier who died July 2, 1957...not 1857 as Jackie mistyped, as well as the
obit for her husband, David Michael Rosier, who died July 1, 1946 in Shady
Grove, Fulton Co., AR.
Her name was Margaret Lou Casey before she married David Michael Rosier on
August 16, 1892 in Salem, Fulton Co., AR. She was born November 12, 1876 in
Lawrence Co., AR. I would also like to identify her parents and siblings.
"Lou" and her husband David M.

Thanks for the reply.
We are related to your Wiseman's and Lawrence's ( Lowrence ) " by the
way is it spelled Lawrence or Lowrence, and in a round about way your
Montgomery's. I am going to forward this to the Izard and Fulton County
Arkansas list Atten: Vera Reeves, Evalyn Champion. I think that your
Montgomery line is also are theirs.
You and yours have a happy and fun holiday. We are having a bad start..
In the last week Judy the better half, lost a cousin, our next door

I was giving a burial list of the Staten cemetery.
it shows that it was surveyed by Royce K Bassham & Forest Bassham.
here is what is says, Amy Ladd (ca1830-af1880)is known to be buried here in an unmarked grave.
I am told that the information about Amy Ladd being buried in the Staten Cemetery came from the grand daughter of Amy Ladd.
in the 1880 Fulton Co Ar census shows Amy as Anna Ladd & a daughter living with her son Henry A Ladd.
I was also told that Amy Ladd
There is an old Abandon Staten cemetery between Salem & Moko Ar,
I am told that my G Grandmothers (Namey "Gaines" Taylor)twin sister (Amy "Gaines" Ladd) is buried there is an unmarked Grave.
Does anyone have any information on the old Staten cemetery?
Thanks Orley H Taylor

Hi Judie!
Try the URL http://www.skpub.com/genie/census/ar/fulton.html to see a map of
Fulton County township boundaries. This is a single page on the web site at
http://www.skpub.com/genie/index.html which provides County/township maps
for the entire United States. This shows us that Union Township is in south
central Fulton County.
You will probably have to use the GNIS at
http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form to learn
that Pleasant Ridge Church is located on Highway 9 about mi
Travis:
You are correct - I did mistype - the death date is 1957. Margaret
Louise Casey was the daughter of A.O. Casey and Margaret P. Gillespie
who are buried at Viola Cemetery in Fulton Co.
Are you related to this family?

RE: Rosier Obits
Jackie, Travis
The date makes a big difference. I will look for the
dates of 1957 and 1946. Obits after 1900 are easier to
locate.
Also, I am looking for information on the Rosier
family buried in the Young Cemetery. Can you help me?
The two marked graves are:
Rosier, Amey (age 46 years) Jan 18, 1892
Rosier, T.R. (inscribed on a rock)
Would like to know any info you might have. Will try
to get copies of Obits shortly. Please let me know if
someone else has sent the

You contacted me about Lee Casey and I have tried to reply

The Name may have been Crouch----?I know they "shoed" horses, and rumor is
that Jesse James came by for "service". Story mentions a man named Chestnut
who was involved in a horrible accident when he stepped on the running board
of a car and fell to his death...Also mention of a terrible tornado that came
through Salem in March of 1924 that destroyed the church. My mother's
brother, Truman Crouch, now 90, relates the Salem stories about his father,
my grandfather, James William Crouch.
Re:(Amy "Gaines" Ladd)
There are 12 marked graves in Staten Cemetery. The
names are Cannon, Decker, Kirklin, Webb, and Witt. The
death dates run from 1865 to 1904. There are quite a
few graves that are unmarked or marked with a field
stone.
If you could give me more information, I would be
glad to try and locate her. An Obit or date of death
would really help. I would like to know if you are
pretty sure that she is buried there so we can add her
to the cemetery site.
There are 82 unmarked graves in this

I''m looking for any information about a BlackSmith Shop that operated in
Salem in the early 20's and 30's. My grandfather, J.W. (Jim) Crouch lived in
Salem near the "Paden" house, but moved back to Fairview and died in 1924.
Any information about 9 children born to Jim and Laura Belle(Greene) would be
greatly appreciated. I have marriage record of T.J. Crouch and Theo Caldwell,
but any infor. would be helpful. Jim and L.B. Crouch are buried at Harmony
Cemetary..Also, a photo of the Harmony church wou
Hi,
My husband has been trying to connect his grgrandmother Sophronia
Davenport Wiseman to the Wisemans of Izard and Fulton County, Arkansas
for some time now with disappointing results. She was born February
1851 and died May 1904. The first record we have of her is in the 1870
Fulton County Census where she is living with the Wiley C. King family.
Then a note found in a King family bible mentions her marriage to James
Ferguson Montgomery July 6, 1871. She is in the 1880 and the 1900
census a

I would appreciate ANY information on "Pink" Gibson. He died Jul 2002. He was living in the general area of Union, AR. Date of birth, parents, palce of burial, siblings, etc. He was married to Nancy Webb dau of Ervin Webb, and they had four children, Iva, Artie (m. Arthur Combs); John Washington, Wesley. After his death Nancy m/2. Edward Hargraves and their children were: Freda, Sterling, Charlie and Ernest.
Is there anyone on the list that could help me locate the
marriage data for LAURA CASEY, born around 1871, to a NOAH ELLIS -

recorded for Laura Casey in the same timeframe?
Thanks
