Hi Just thought I would let you know there are quite a few ARNOT's on my site from the 1851 census. I had collected all ARNOT/ARNOTTs 1851 Abbotshall to Burntisland. Baptized and named Andrew. James was dead at the time of Andrew's marriage to Mary Smith at Aberdour on 4/3/1859. Magdelene married Alexander Scott on 20/9/1843 in Dunfermline.

Hello Roland; Your letter is interesting. Jean ARNOT born about 1768 married John FERGUSON (weaver) 1791 Dunfermline are the people that I am interested in. They would be my 3x grandpatents. I looked on the IGI for possible siblings, but no James. I have the Arnots copied from the 1841 census Dunfermline. There are quite a few, but no James ARNOT , weaver. If he had a child in 1839, would you say he would be born 1818 or before? There is a James ARNOT at Masterton Village(part of Dunfermline census) 27 year
