Hi John,
Better late than never :) thank you for posting, great to see you have a web
page too!
One of my projects for my Arnot page is to have all the Links to other Arnot etc
spellings, so busy on the Hill Texas pages, I am not sure when I will get this
project up, but I just saved your URL to add to my project.
Thanks
Debbie :)
PS I am forwarding your Roll Call to the Arnott list too just in case someone
there has a match with you.

Hello all,
Posting my most elusive Arnot/Arnott in the hopes someone recognises the
names. This has been a brick wall for a long time, and I cannot seem to
resolve it.
The gentleman in question is John Arnot(t) who married Catherine Wood in
Auchterderran, (we believe), their banns were called there in April
1854.

Ran across this name from a book I am reading, and thought I would
pass it along just in case he is an ancestor of someone's.
"Charles W. Arnett, 2nd Lt., Comp. C, 5th NJ Inf. (May 1862-July
1862), died from wounds. "
Unfortunately, he is not mentioned in the book anywhere else, so do
not have anymore info on him. However, if anyone thinks he is an
ancestor, the Civil War records would be a good place to start
tracking him down. The

In response (finally) to Debbie's roll call request of September 15, I'd
just like to inform the most recent subscribers of my new
Arnout/Arnot/Arnott/Arnett web site. It's certainly far from perfect, but I
do try to keep it as accurate as I can, and I update it regularly (e.g.,
last update was just a few days ago).
I humbly recommend it, especially to new genealogists who don't yet have
much info on the Arnout/etc. lines. It has significantly more information
that just names, dates, and locations of bir

Hi Ian,
I sure will, I am keeping the emails with the surnames people are putting up on
list so if I do come across them I will let you know.
If anyone else would like to re post their families they are searching for
again, I would like to keep a copy of the emails so in my surfing I can check
against them for any connections.
Thanks
Debbie :)

Hi Everyone,
I discovered a neat Pennyslvania Dutch website. It has lots of ARNDT,

Greetings All.
At last. The long awaited Report of the Environics Research Omnibus
Surveys on Public Attitudes relating to access to Post 1901 Census

PDF file that downloads when you access the link. You require the
Adobe Acrobat reader to view the document. It is 27 pages long and
you will probably want to print it out for easy reading. Go to

and click on the link labelled "Report on P
