I am looking into the Arnote's for a friend whose mother was Fern Marova Arnote born 1913 in Marshal Ok (he thinks.)
Fern's father was Edgar Allen Arnote and mother was Anna Elizabeth Kirk born in Missouri. I think our family's probably do go back to Missouri.

husband Robert BROUN in 1493 (Register Great Seal of SCT v.1 no.2175 dated
1493) for which Walter is witness, so she cannot have married COLVILLE until
later. They had one only lawful son Sir James COLVILLE of Ochiltree, who had
a charter in Mar 1527/8 (same, v.2 no 563)to found a chaplaincy in memory of
his parents and of Rob COLVILE, Margarete LOGANE, Walt ARNO
