1. [ARWASHIN] Harrison, Jack Edward - Fayetteville - news articles and obits... [1]
Good morning list, I'm in California and would greatly appreciate any help that SKS might be able to afford me. I'm trying to reclaim as much information and hard data on a once missing man, Jack E Harrison, who was accidentally found in a military database. He was found living in Arkansas when he died by suicide. The printed 'data' material received over a year ago, among other of my genealogy items were somehow erased or hijacked from my system. The death of this man was recorded in at least 2 area

3. Re: [ARWASHIN] ARWASHIN Digest, Vol 3, Issue 16 [1]
Lila, John B. Chesher received Section 10 NW on 02-01-1860 in Township 14N Range 32-W (5th PM). Other names in that section are: Richard McCaslin, James Mitchell, William B. Brode, Stephen D. Sutton, Lewis Evans, Giles McKinney, and John Q. Walton. There is a town, Canehill, in Section 8 and New Hope Cemetery in Section 11. The only road close was Highway 45 which ran through Canehill and Clyde. Good luck. Joy

6. [ARWASHIN] WILLIFORD, Seneca [1]
Sharolyn, have you searched the 1860 and 1870 census for Seneca? They are on the Washington County 1850 Arkansas Every-name Census Index page 387. Seneca was 7, Nelson 9, Henry 12, Sarah 5, and Marget 1. He might have married by 1860 or for sure by 1870. As unusual as his name is, he should be the easiest to find. Henry M. WILLIFORD was awarded a land patent in Washington County in 1843 when he was only 23. Joy

Lila, there is no Cheshire Cemetery listed in my Book. This Book is "Family Maps of Washington County, Arkansas with Homesteads, Roads, Waterways, Towns, Cemeteries, Railroads, and More." by Gregory A. Boyd. J.D. It is a 472 page soft cover book that maps all the Land Patents for Washington County with indexes of the original landowners. There is one Chesher, John B. who received a 1/4 Section of land in 1860. There is no other similar spelling. Joy Foster
