Thank you so much. I have enjoyed what I have looked at and have saved it. I did have a gggrandfather who was in Burnetts Sharp Shooter Brigade. We really don't know what happened to him except for what is in his wife's Bible. He died at age 28 probably at Port Hudson in a Union hospital or trying to get back home to Lamar Co. I have tried to find out about Port Hudson. There isn't much written about it. It was one of the longest battles in the Civil War. His wife had lost her husband and 3 or her

11. Re: [ASHLEY] Your Haplogroup [1]
Good Morning, Vicki! Kit# 66154 (Edward Ashley, Somerset, England) is Haplogroup R1b1b2. As new SNP's (mutations) are discovered downstream on the Y-Chromosome Tree, many of our Haplogroup names will change as they become more refined. The link I provided was updated this month, so it's very current. A couple of years ago my Haplogroup was R1b, then R1b1, but after several other SNP's were discovered (including M222 and more recently L21), it became R1b1b2a1b6b. Gene, #63792's SNP shorthand of 'R-M22' has placed him in haplogroup 'R1b1b2a1b5' by FTDNA. I think 7 others may share that group...so far.
