I am a descendant of Henry ASHTON from Pilton, Devonshire that migrated (said ca1877 he was hi-jacked and jumped ship in NY) to Wisconsin. (was given a record that said he was of the Royal Navy but one of the dates is wrong). He was the only one of his siblings that came to America. His father William was from Beaford, Devonshire. His g-grandfather was Jeptha born ca1717 and married Jane ACKLAND 1738, also in Beaford.
There is a ASHTON lineage that said this Jeptha ASHTON came from Virginia USA, so

Do you have Charlotte Albones line? If so does it go back to Horncastle area? I am trying to connect to Matthew Ladlow's widow Sarah Albones b 1775. He was killed by lightening in 1811 in Horncastle and she lived to a ripe old age as a Ladlow
