I know we have a few descendants on the list, and you already all might have
this, but I didn't; so I'm passing it along .....

VOLNEY ATWOOD, president of the Oak Hill Cemetery Association, is one of the
substantial and representative men of Janesville,
Dear List
I just returned from Upstate NY, and had a chance to visit both Hartford, NY
and Salem, NY.
I explored the Baptist Cemetery and the Morningside Cemetery in Hartford.
I also explored the Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Cemetery and the Revolutionary
Cemetery in Salem.
I updated those families in my database (minor changes), so if you have Atwoods
that originate from those areas, please check the file.

My ATWOOD connection is Martha Atwood b.1813 from Shenandoah Va.m. to Elijah
H. Morris b. 1806 NC. Found in Smith Co. TN. mid 1800s with large family.
Any connection of discussion would be welcome. Mimi
Dear List
And last..... I came East through NH, and my family agreed to spend the afternoon
in Lisbon and Landaff, so that I may sort through this rather unexplored group
of Atwoods there.
Lisbon, NH: Grove Hill Cemetery
Landaff, NH: Landaff Cemetery
I was able to connect many, previously unconnected ATWOODs, many birthdates and
deathdates, wifes, children; that I did not previously have. I also managed to
find a few ATWOODs, new ones, and know I don't know where they belong, but such
is the life of a f
I stated this was a George B Atwood.... MY ERROR... I had done a search of possiblities
and George was the most likely, BUT NOT ONLY possibility, so
This was a G B Atwood

Thanks for writing... I have no information on your Atwood line, but I know there
are other Atwoods from Texas researching the lines. so I'm forwarding your letter
to the "Atwood" List in hopes that you will get some responses.

Dear List
I also drove back home by way of Vermont and stopped in the following cemeteries:
Shoreham, Vermont: Cemetery Hill, East Shoreham, and Knapp Yard. The Knapp Yard
Cemetery is located in the middle of a private residence !! Amongst the flowers
in their driveway, between the house and the barn !!!
Cornwall, Vermont: Congregational Cemetery
Bristol, Vermont: Bristol Cemetery
Duxbury, Vermont: Holy Cross Cemetery
Found a few new ATWOODs, and I was able to connect a few 'displace' ones.
Again...
Gold Mine Stock made out to a George B Atwood. There were alot of George B Atwoods, so I can't say who might have 'bought' in but if you think this might have been YOUR George B Atwood.......
