2. [AUS-CON] Privacy Issue [1]
Good evening list, I am a member of a committee organising a family reunion and we we want to produce a CD and book/print (data only - no pics) out of what we have so far. This information has been freely given by family members at previous reunions and things that we have gathered from publications etc put out by Family History Societies and also newspaper announcements. Is there someone out there who has experience in the issue of privacy regarding this type of publication. Cheers Robin W, Launces
3. [AUS-CON] Musters [1]
Can some one let me know if there is a Muster for 1830 and 1831 I am trying to work out how my convicts Harry Sherwood and Frances Stephenson may have met They married in New Norfolk in 1831. I think by that time Harry had received his Free Pardon but I know that Frances hadn't. I believe that in the 1832 and 1833 Muster Frances was assigned to a Mr Barker of Rosegarland but have as yet to verify that. Regards Carol

5. Re: [AUS-CON] James Farmer Ship Maitland 1846 [1]
Hello Peter There were 2 deaths for a James Farmer in Victoria for the ages you mention. One at Pentridge (see this site http://www.moreland.vic.gov.au/historyofmoreland7.htm)in 1853 aged 40 with unknown father, mother and birth place, reg no. 5558. Another at Tanaville in 1882 aged 70, also with unknown father, mother and birth place, reg no. 10290. Not too sure where or what Tanaville is. Maybe another lister will be able to help you out there. Hope this helps. Wendy ----- Original Message ----- From

Hi Catherine, I may be wrong, but it appears to be due to the fact that the text it has be written in is not recognized by the site therefore it comes out all "gobble de gook" in the posting. Just delete them. It appears to be someone on the list having a shot at someone else on the list about the way their e-mail and subject heading has been written. SURNAMES and PLACE NAMES should be written in UPPER CASE, all other text in the email should be in lower case. A subject heading or e-mail all in upper ca

Hi Connie, Being a disabled pensioner myself I can understand that. Sadly people forget that the person who posted the message may have a disability and are too quick to jump in and make a comment which can be extremely hurtful to the person who posted the message originally. Throughout my many years of doing this it never ceases to amaze me the number of persons who are disabled in some way and are heavily into genealogy. Apart from doing our genealogy it is a wonderful source to meet and share friend

Hi Alice, The (upper case) "yelling" business is just another of those modern internet things, like the many abbreviations and "icons / signs" that mean certain things; it is a bit like talking another language at times. Many mailing lists send you a set of rules when you subscribe and advise that SURNAMES and PLACE NAMES should be in upper case. In doing it that way it also makes it so much easier for listers to "speed read" postings too as the important upper case words stand out in the e-mail when i
