Happy New Year to all.
Can anyone tell me please, if the "Australian Agricultral Company early
records are on line"?
Or where I could write to obtain records?
Does the AAC have "archives section" I could write to?
Our great-great grandfather and his family were brought out by the Aust.
Agricultral Co in the Maitland NSW, in 1839, and all worked for the Company
for a given time, and I would like to obtain the records on them.
Help much appreciated.
Regards,
Jill in Victoria

I am trying to trace the EDWARDS branch of our GLEDHILL family.
I have located all the descendants of my grt grandfather Joseph William
GLEDHILL of Junee NSW except the EDWARDS branch.
His daughter Eliza Moore GLEDHILL married Edward James EDWARDS in Newcastle
NSW in 1887.
They had children Amy, May, Ethel, Robert E and another male born in
Lithgow and Junee.
From the BDM records I am fairly certain that May married Leonard G
WILLIAMS in Junee in 1913 and had children Ernest E and Nance M.

Just a general query. What are people's views on Lokups? Like everyone
else, I have a number of books, bought to help my research, some relating to
specific areas of NSW.
If I indicate which books I have that are indexed and I am willing to do a
look-up, if the book is copyrighted, should I do it? (should any of us do
it?)
My understanding is that it is alright if (you or I) are not making any
money out of it, but isn't it taking an income away from the author?
I enjoy helping people and have a coup
Dear Bronwen,
I do not know who this was directed too, but yes I do have ROWE's in my
family but they are from NSW only, I am having a hard time connecting them
up to anyone at present.
I have a James ROWE married to one Ellen RICHARDSON, they had a son James
William ROWE born 14/12/1828 @ Parramatta, NSW. James married one Bridget
KEARNY or CARNEY , and they had a daughter named Ellen MArion ROWE born
15/10/1853 @ Yellow Rock, NSW.
Maybe there is distant connection somewhere??

Hi,
This may be a little off subject, but please bear with me. I know that
Gungadai is a place in NSW and I know Banjo Patterson's poems that refer
to the place, but is this an original Aussie name or did it come from
somewhere else? In tracing a family in Wanganui NZ I discovered that
one of the early family members had a boat called Gundagai in about
1865. This man was responsible for naming a suburb in Wellington and
several of its streets with Indian names Kendalla for one. Is the name
Gundagai also
Hi Sally,
Your Martha Harris' birth in 1887 is registered as Central Cumberland, which covers the Parramatta and surrounding districts.
It appears Martha and her 3 children sailed to NSW aboard the 'North' in 1883, but it doesn't look like Martha's husband was with them.
John jnr - age 17
Evan - age 15
Bertie - age 8
So either your John Harris was already here, or he arrived after 1883 but before 1887. Why did John Harris go back to Wales & did he return to Australia again?
I also have Powell's from th
Hi Everyone
I have just joined this list today. My name is Judith Franklin from NZ.
I am searching for the death of JAMES BRIGGS after the year of
1929 at which time he would have been around 53 years old. He left
New Zealand at this time and was never heard of by his family
again. I have found two deaths up to 1945 one in 1942 and the other
in 1944 their ages are not given on my print out. Is there anyway of
finding the ages at death please. Also how do you look up after
1945 deaths.
Thank you
Elsie Graham was the Matron of the Wallsend District Hospital certainly up
to 1964 (I did my training there).
Wallsend Hospital was closed and became the Wallsend Nursing Home. The John
