Hi Liane, Burrowa is the old spelling for the present town of BOOROWA. Some major nearby towns are Young and Yass. Some of my ancestors were married and christened here as well (Harcombe, Hadden, Tout, Bush). They were all Church of England though - not Catholic. The C of E church registers for Burrowa have been indexed by the Heraldry & Genealogical Society of Canberra (HAGSOC). They have an internet site - but I can't remember the address. Hoping someone may be researching James MCALISTER. The middle name of Maybury is shown at times however on his death certificate it is shown as Mayling. Believed to have been born in Ireland about 1805 with perhaps John as his fathers name. Hello, I am looking for the family of Charles and Grace (Manning) DELEVANTE from London, England. Charles died before the war. They had 5 children. Mortimer and Charles were killed in WWI. The girls, Ellen (Nell, Helen) and Norah are said to have married Australian soldiers. After the war, Grace, the two girls (and I presume their husbands) and son Victor all emigrated to Australia.
