Morning all, I am so excited because last night I found the address where my
last HAYNES family member lived, but............................... (dont
you just hate the buts) it looks like I have missed her by 5 years!
Up until the 1995 Electoral rolls she was living at 9 /1 Tonkin Street
Cronulla and I am wondering if it is the sort of place where the neighbours
might know something? I dont think she had natural children, maybe reared a
stepson Beaufort Walkington so maybe he might have info to help m
Hello listers,
The online index to BDM records in NSW lists the following two marriages:
William F. HINCHY to Margaret REARDON in 1846
John HINCHY / HINCHEY to Jane KEENAN in 1847
Are these name familiar to anyone? Anyone researching the HINCHY /
HINCHEY, REARDON or KEENAN families in Sydney -- likely all were originally
from Ireland.
I'm trying to find relatives of Catherine/Catharine HINCHY / HINCHEY who
arrived in Sydney from Limerick in 1844, married James Steward/t in 1846
and then moved on to
Hi Jacinta, I e-mailed you at cinta@alphalink.com.au yesterday and the
message was returned with "fatal errors", co will post on this list.
Thanks for your message about Monique Dykstra. I don't know whether there is
a link to our family as I'm unaware of a Victorian branch. I doubt whether I
would be able to trace Monique now because she has probably married and
therefore change her name, but you never can tell. The name is common in the
Netherlands, especially in Friesland where I believe the spelling is

To all those listers who replied to my enquiry,I wish to thank you. The above was a place where a relative died of T.B.It would appear from correspondence received that it was really part of the Lidcombe hospital complex.

Hi Liane,
Burrowa is the old spelling for the present town of BOOROWA. Some
major nearby towns are Young and Yass.
Some of my ancestors were married and christened here as well
(Harcombe, Hadden, Tout, Bush). They were all Church of England
though - not Catholic. The C of E church registers for Burrowa have
been indexed by the Heraldry & Genealogical Society of Canberra
(HAGSOC). They have an internet site - but I can't remember the
address. They will do a search for a fee in these records, I think

Hello,
I am looking for the family of Charles and Grace (Manning) DELEVANTE from
London, England. Charles died before the war.
They had 5 children. Mortimer and Charles were killed in WWI. The girls,
Ellen (Nell, Helen) and Norah are said to have
married Australian soldiers. After the war, Grace, the two girls (and I
presume their husbands) and son Victor all emigrated
to Australia. After that, all trace of them has been lost. I am currently
attempting to find the two marriages in London. Thanks for an
