12. [AUS-NSW] Information needed about a death [1]
Dear Listers, I was wondering if someone could help me. I am looking for a James SINCLAIR. According to the death certificate of James SINCLAIR, who died in 1898 in Melbourne, he married Eleanor DINGWALL in Albury in 1871. The only record that may be possible, that I can find, in a marriage of James to Eleanor KEYS in Albury in 1874. Also according to the death certificate, he had a son James SINCLAIR who was 24 in 1898. So he would have been born about 1874. I can't find a record of birth for him ar

Sue, You may want to try the Rugby League Hall of Fame at http://rl1908.com/ I did a search on Ackland but it seemed to default to Auckland. Still, it may give some clues where else to look. There is also a book which you might be able to get from your local library which could help - The Encyclopaedia of Rugby League Players by Alan Whitticker & Glen Hudson, NSW Gary Allen 1993 Regards, Peter N. 20. [AUS-NSW] John Joseph WRIGHT and Jane Elizabeth MCMAHON [1]
The couple above married in 1865 in Sydney and had children between 1866 and 1881. Jane died in 1887 but I am unsure whether JOhn was still alive then. He is not buried with her at Rookwood. They had a son John Wright who died in 1881. I thought John was the son of John Wright and Jane Adderley born in 1840 (perfect fit) but that John died in 1878, That leaves me with 99 possibilities for a John Wright dying in NSW in a reasonable time frame. Does any lister have any that I can eliminate? I would be etern

22. Re: AUS-NSW-D Digest V02 #280 [1]
Thanks to all of you who have replied about my Maker/Moore mystery. The posting should have referred to 1862 not 1962 (my error). I have had some good advice as to how to find the Bangalore birth, however no marriage record. This is strange as the birth certificates states that the parents were married in Sydney in 1862. What could the scenarios be I wonder. All marriages would be recorded somewhere wouldn't they? Mank thanks Carolyn ----- Original Message ----- From:
