1. Re: [HV] Information Sort [1]
Sandra, I'd think the informant was no relation and so there is unlikely to be a headstone. He would be listed however in the cemetery's burial records but don't think you'd get any more personal info there about him than you already have, except perhaps grave number. Did you find a ticket of leave or conditional pardon for him? Would give the magistrate's district at the time I think and help pinpoint whether he was in Merriwa then. Sorry I can't be more helpful! Ron, Sorry, just a bit of a typo there, should have said Louisa Pescud. You might want to drop into the Yarramalong School one day to ask if they have any old records on your Beaven & Bailey ancestors. They may also have spare copies of the Yarramalong School Centenary book that you maybe able to purchase. The Epilogue to the book is written by Harry Bailey. I have a copy because my grandfather and another relative were teachers there plus I have other family connections to the Yarramalong Valley. Regard

Hello Listers Just a general question that was brought up by a friend who is interested in starting her family history. When Assisted Immigrants arrived in 1850-60s, were they bonded anywhere, or to anyone for any length of time? If so, how would one find the details?
