Hello All,
I'm new to the list and like so many others have a problem child .
I'm looking for John Thomas COCHRANE. His marriage cert. says he was born in Raymond Terrace, but, alas I can't find him on the N.S.W bdm. He was married in 1932 at Gloucester aged 47, so I guess he was born about 1885.
According to the certificate his parents were William COCHRANE and Mary Mc FADYEAN both deceased at the time of his marriage.
I would love to hear from anyone who can help shed some light on this elusive ancest

New to the list and was wondering if anyone can tell me how I could go about
tracing a birth in Maitland. The info I have so far is of a John DICKSON
and wife Johanna Maria Irving nee DOUGLAS/S emigrating from Annan in
Scotland and being in Maitland first. They had a child there Agnes
Christian Douglas DICKSON in 1847 and eventually moved on to Mudgee where
they ran a produce store and flour mills in the area. I would be grateful
if someone could put me on the right track. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hello all,
Wondering if anyone, by any chance, has the following volumes of the Raymond
Terrace & District Historical Society Bulletin:
Vol. 5. No. 1, Oct. 1981
Vol. 5 No. 4, Sept 1982 (I am most interested in this one)
If not, does anyone know how an American can get her hands on copies of
these?
Regards,
Shannon
