1. Re: Robert Studdert of Clarendon Park, Paterson [1]
Sybil - this mailing list doesn't cover the Paterson area. However you are welcome to mail here. You never know what might turn up. On the other hand, you might have more response to your query from the Hunter Valley list = AUS-NSW-Hunter-Valley. Regards and good luck in your search. 17. Which Richard? [1]
Hello Listers I would like to purchase the Death Certificate of Richard Griffith - but I don't know which one! He came to NSW in about 1836 with his 11 year old daughter, Frances Maria Griffith, who married Richard Crossing in 1845 - when the latter was 23. Semi-intelligent guesses indicate that Richard Griffith was born in about 1800 - probably in Belfast. The NSW BDM shows that four people named Richard Griffith died in 1863, 1871, 1898 and 1914 respectively. My Richard used to hunt around Mudgee - a
18. Re: Which Richard? [1]
Sybil, Since the life expectancy of a person born around 1800 is nowhere near what it is today, it is extremely unlikely if not impossible for your Richard to have died in 1914 at the age of 114 years. Using the same reasoning would suggest that 1898 is also unlikely. The most logical date would be 1863, followed by 1871.
