Don, if I knew what the next 48 hrs would reveal (medically wise), I would look at fiche and police gazettes for you, but no guarantee. The State Archives would probably be your best bet. Hello Don You didn't seem to mention what years you were talking about, but seeing it's your g grandfather, would I be right in assuming the late 1800's? I have found from personal experience that the Qld Police Gazettes (not the Government ones, but the Police ones - they are two different things) are an excellent source of information. Don, what about the State Archives of Queensland? I think there is a contact area on their main page. A couple of years ago I did ask the brother in law who is in the liquor licence if they had records of old licenses, he said yes, but wasn't sure where they were kept, he thought probably the archives...
