5. [AUS-SAGEN] Forfarshire [1]
This is part of a response I received from a contact on the Mariners List regarding the elusive 'Forfarshire'. There were apparently 4 ships by this name but I thought that this snippet may help those of us who would love to find a passenger list. My great-great-grandmother came out in 1848 on this ship and I know the ship also went to Tasmania in 1843 as a convict ship. If anyone would like the full message, I am happy to pass it along. It just details a bit more about the different ships by the same nam

Doug You've had better luck than me. My great grandparents John Mullen ands Maria Spain had 8 children. I have found five of them registered under 3 variations of Mullen, the others I only found out about through sheer luck. My aunt remembered her aunty who "dyed her hair black", and my cousin I found in Austria sent me obituaries which listed all the children, including one son I'd never heard of. I got his death certificate (he died in Broken Hill) and found where and approximately when he'd been born. He
