Hello All
I DONOT have an interest in the sale of this book, only a recommendation that
it is worth its weight in gold, when you are researching in South Australia.
Every State/County should have something like it!!!!!
Andrew. Is it time for an addendum/update as I fell sure that you have found
MORE records lately?

Good morning listers,
I am starting down another road. Is any one researching MAYNARD in SA?, or
anywhere else for that matter. My g.mother was Frances Mary, b. 11/10/1876
in Noarlunga SA.
TIA, Dianne,
from a beautiful day in SA, why I am not outside enjoying it, I don't know.
Jill, I don't know if this book has passenger lists or only ships.
I am seeking the arrival details of Robert SHIELDS between 1836 and 1849 in
SA from Scotland. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

My dearly departed Aunt was a "working girl" in Adelaide around the 1940's

murder court case which headlined in Adelaide with her named as a mystery
key witness which lead to the conviction and execution of the murderer - who
was one of her clients and of European descent. The murder took place in
some establishment in Hindley Street. In the Adelaide Truth she was dubbed
"The Lady in Black". Now I'm wondering if anyone can recall t

"Broadway Estate, Glenelg"
I am researching the Taylor family whose address is given as "Broadway
Estate, Glenelg" on Mary Taylor's death certificate in 1928. I am
assuming that refers to The Broadway, Glenelg as it is now. Could anyone
give me any details of the expansion of Glenelg in 1928 and if this
Broadway Estate was a house in that street or just a general term for
the area being developed at the time? Several histories of the Glenelg
area do not shed any light on this.Would it be right that Mary a

Dear All,
Could SKS please tell me the best thing to look up to find out where my
relatives went between a certain period. They landed in 1849 and then took
up a pub Licence in Whitwarta about 17 years later.
How would I find out where they were between these times? Were there such
things as postal registers, etc.
that might shed some light on it for me?
Many thanks

Hi there again,
I don't have a computer at home so its great to use it lots when I get the
chance!
Could SKS please check the following on the Biographical Index for me;
John ELDRIDGE & Frances (nee GOLDSMITH) I know very little about these two
except that they had nine registered births in SA between 1843 and 1860.
Any info would be welcome.
Thanks and good hunting to you all

Sorry if this is a repeat but have been told people didn't get this before.
One can email Toowoomba Information Library for the details from the old TOOWOOMBA and DRAYTON cemetery.
All you have to do is email the details and they will email you back with the results I was told yesterday 17 March 2000.

Great offer, Andrew. Our South Australian Interest Group newsletter (WAGS)
recently promoted your book as the "bible" for anyone researching in S.A.
Also, a promotion for your appearance at our Congress 2000, which we're all
looking forward to enormously.
