Greetings all,
*The CLARE surname ... DNA tracing project *
A project is now under way at Leicester University exploring the links
between the many, widespread families of CLARE from the UK and abroad, and
how they relate to each other. It uses DNA sampling, looking at the Y
chromosome, and it's free for any males surnamed CLARE [and CLEER, CLEAR,
CLEARE ...]

Hi,
Dad reckons he's found out where this cemetary used to be. Apparently it
was somewhere under the current Storey Bridge, but no records pre 1900 with
either Qld Gen Society or the Anglican Church. No use to me, but might help
someone. Will let you know if I find out any more.

Hi all
There is a major flood of viruses on the net at present,
The messages are NOT coming *through* the lists, even though the subject
lines make it appear they are. This list, in common with most genealogy
lists, does not permit attachments to list messages. The attachments are
coming direct to your address from the infected computer(s). Most viruses are designed to hit outlook express mail ,I have not used outlook now for 8 months or so because of the problems with viruses I use one called Calypso it w

Hi listers,
If anyone needs help with lookups in the Emerald area, I may be able to
help - eg cemetary or newspaper records. Please email me and I will see
what I can do. The local paper does not allow photocopying of old papers,
but I can do transcriptions. They might allow photos to be taken, will have
to ask.
Hope this will help someone.
