Hi Folks
I have a nagging feeling a couple of people asked me for lookups before I went away and I seem to have lost track of the emails. Can you let me know if I owe you a lookup?
POSITIVE WEEK was just great. Thank you to all those who contributed, and do let us know if you had any rip roaring successes.
Cheers

Hi
Would appreciate hearing from anyone with connections to, or knowledge
of the SHAKESPEARE family who lived in Warnambool in the late 1800s.
George SHAKESPEARE married Belinda COOK in 1870, either in Cornwall or
Victoria; their children were all born in Warnambool:
John b. 1871
Louisa b. 1873 (my g grandmother, married Alexander REID)
William b. 1875
Viola b. 1876 (married Andrew DOWELL)
Hermione b. 1878
George and Belinda may have run the Steam packet Hotel in Warnambool.
Is this fine establishment

You lot that are waiting for the Keilor marriages are just going to have to
be patient.
Please note that I have no more than you see on the web for these indexes.
I did not do the research, I only built the page. There is no point in
asking me to look up or find any thing else. I know very little about
either of these areas and I can not give advise on whe

Hooray -- I have found some ancestors - but in photos.
Can some one tell me what is the best thing to do with old photos - these are 1910?
I would like them printed out as near as possible to perfect - is this possible with modern technology?
Where do I go and what do I ask for?
Probably what is more important does it cost an arm and a leg? - some are quite large.
Many thanks
Joy
The Niel Black ((1804-1880) family descendants are still at Mt Noorat.
Niel Black was a pioneer, pastoralist and politician. There is a
detailed, very small print, one and a half page entry about him in The
Biographical Dictionary of the Western District of Victoria edited by
Gordon Forth. There is mention of Black's various agricultural
enterprises over a period and mention that he avoided employing convicts
but was known to employ aborigines.

Hi Beth, Thanks for showing this site. I've spent about two hours going
through and checking names. My Father and his brother were both killed in
1944, Dad at the start of the year, and his brother Jo in december. It
makes you stop and think how gratefull we should be to these young men who
gave up their lives so we can live in peace. It must have been
devastating for their parents, wives and families. I know that it still
makes me sad even though I never had the chance to see my Dad. How

Hi Karen,

WANGOOM State school No. 645
This School opened in 1865, the Head Master being Thomas Whyte. His
assistant, Stocks, later became the Headmaster. Teachers conducted a night
school at Wangoom from February 1878 to 1880. The ages of those attending
ranged from fourteen to forty. The original building included a balcony.
I hope this helps,
