Hello listers,
Hopefully I am on the right list for this query. Please put me right, if I am not.
I have just found that a branch of my KEMP families lived in Netherby and Jeparit
from about 1890 after crossing from Sth Australia.
Francis Kemp and his wife Mary were farmers and had 12 children so I am hoping
that there is someone still living in the area with Kemp connections?
I would love to connect up with anyone researching the Kemp name to share the
information we have discovered about the Kemps who
Good news folks! We need a bit of good news don't we?

married Patrick McDONNELL by any chance? Cos she's from Tipperary and the
Lord knows where! I did all the certificate buying tricks too, which
revealed where Patrick came from (Askeaton, Limerick) but not Eliza.

Hi List,
Back again looking for information on McKinnon. I have an Ann and John McKinnon (Carpenter) assisted passengers and assigned to James Ritchie at Mt Rouse.
How can I find out how long they stayed and worked for the Ritchie's. I have two births at Dunkeld. A boy (George) 1856 and a girl (Jane) 1858. I don't know whether they left after Jane was born or not, but I can't find any trace of the family until 1869 ,when they turn up in Melbourne where another son is born and registered under the name of
Well, here is more on the Bennett family -
Bailliere's Post Office Directory's of 1868 , 1869, 1870, 1871-72, 1875,
1880-81 have him listed as a watchmaker in Ballarat.
I suggest if you want to find out where they came from, that it would be a
good idea to purchase the marriage certificate, as that usually tells you
their birth place

cool.
I am seeking help re the DWYER and RUSSELL families of Casterton and

As help to Shane trying to discover where in Ireland his ancestors came from
I suggest this from my own experience.
We had no idea other than the county, name where the HEALEY Irish
ancestors hailed from exactly.
We slowly [because of cost] bought each birth certificate and LO on one
of them was listed the name of the town as well as the county what a find.

That's exactly what I had o do with our McGARVIE family. The problem was
though, that for each of the 7 or so children, the town was written, but
the spelling had been Anglicized from the Gaelic and the County borders had
moved.
So after some 20 years of hunting, I eventually found that Crewdows,
Londonderry, was in fact Creaghadooish, Do

Hi Beryl,
I was thinking that the Trelow could be Treloar also as the Treloars
and Pascoes are related.
One of the Treloars always seemed to write home to family in England.
I have a copy of one letter, but cannot put my finger on it, not with
the mess I have.
