Has anyone had success in accessing employee registers at a Post Office?
My father left school at Pyramid Hill in 1915. He joined the Post Office (PMG?) some time afterwards - it was his first job - but I do not know at which Post Office he started work. Until very recently, I assumed it would have been the Pyramid HiIl office, but now I have my doubts. One other option is Creswick.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a section of a Victorian Newspaper, like Sydney's Daily Telegraph " In Search", where people can search for friends, look for family information, and make other requests.

Hi All,
I located a good web site the other day.
An index of prisoners tried at York Assizes court.
Found my great grandfather, Abraham Crabtree on this list, along with two
other prisoners convicted on the same day for the same crime.
My great grandfather was transported with the other two on the Eden in
1848-49.
Check it out.
