Hello to the list, I have just joined the list, and am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to find out more about Isaac Sherriff. Isaac was born c.1800-1810 in Northamptonshire, UK. I have him on the 1841 census in Tysoe, Warwickshire with his family. On the 1851 census I found Isaac in the Alverstoke Convict Depot in Hampshire, and subsequently found newspaper reports regarding his trial. Isaac was found guilty of murder at the Oxford Assizes in 1846, together with James (Jem) Bidd
