2. William Costello Baber: Grandfather of George Cutlip? [1]
A Baber family (possibly but not necessarily William Costello Baber -- born 1804 in Buckingham Co., VA) took in and raised a George Cutlip (born about 1863). Why? Was Cutlip an illegitimate grandchild? Or, maybe both his parents died at the same time and his grandparents took him in. Maybe the Baber family was not grandparents but some "other" -- or even "no" -- relation to Cutlip. Anyone with information ... factual or rumor or guesswork ... please contact me. BABER Lucille Anderson Baber, age 87, of Richmond, died February 26, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Col. Clinton W. Baber, U.S. Army Ret.
