Grandma's Disease

There's been a change in Grandma, we've noticed her of late.
She's always reading history or jotting down some date.
She's tracking back the family, we'll all have pedigrees.
Oh, Grandma's got a hobby - she's climbing the FAMILY TREE.
Poor Grandpa does the cooking, and now, or so he states,
That worst of all, he has to wash the cups and dinner plates.
Grandma can't be bothered, she's busy as a bee,
Compiling genealogy for the FAMILY TREE.
She has

No, I think that guy was Thomas Marion Baird, s/o Jesse & Louisa
Smith. My gr-father was Thomas Matthew Baird, s/o John A & Elizabeth
Douglas (and I'm still trying to sort her line out). Thomas Matthew
(married Betty Lester) was the grandson of William F & Nancy Barron.
To be more clear, "Matt Creekmore" was James Matthew Creekmore, s/o
Henry Newton Creekmore & Hannah Meadows/Meadors.

Hello BAIRD/BEARD All,
Can anyone tell me who the Jeremiah BAIRD, listed on the 1850 Haywood Co.,
TN census with wife Sintha/Cinthia plus many children, is?
Is he a grandchild of Andrew and Hannah (GREEN) BAIRD of Rowan Co., NC?

Here is the line I am working on. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
1. John Wallace Baird, b. 1798, either in Scotland or in N.Y. Married
Eliza Smith, born in S.C. (maybe) date unknown.
Children of John Wallace Baird & Eliza Smith:
2. Marion Baird (I have no information on birth date, etc.)
2. Samantha Baird (I have no information on birth date, etc.)
2. William Wallace Baird, b. 4/29/1842, in Mississippi. Died 8/1/1913 in
Lafayette County, MS. Married Virginia Elizabeth McKnight, born
Gene....it would be nice to do a tribute to Arlie. He sure hung in there
doing and sharing his Baird research with anyone who asked right up to the
end. I never knew the man personally, because being married into the Baird
family and husband was in the Navy. When he got his 30 day leave once a
year...we tried to visit his and my families both. [me-Texas] I was only
in the Elk Valley area a few times. Never got over into Scott County and
wasn't into 'genealogy' at that time. We took the Campbell Coun

Hi All-
Don't know if this is the same version you are all talking about or not....but
not to long ago I saw Family Tree Maker -Deluxe 3 version in Sam's Club. It
had 9 CD's and was selling for about $80. If you are near a Sam's, you might
want to check it out.

Hi All,
As I look at each of the Baird trace lines come through the Baird Group
service, I notice some of them begin several generations past the first
generations in this country. I don't know if this beginning is because they
can not be traced back further than that or if there may be another reason for
not extending the trace back further. In some cases where the individuals
line starts in the early 1800's or late 1700's it may take some time to locate
the individual shown for the first generation.

Hello,
I am researching a Samuel McClaren Baird/Beard born Bunscomb Co. NC that
went to Hickman County TN appx 1811. There seemed to be a Junior and
Senior of this name. The wives were Campbell and Norres.
A descendant, Issac Newton Baird ended up in LA and this is the line I am
looking for. Issac married Barbara Ellen O'Rouke 2 June 1855 in Concordia
Parish LA.
Possibly this line goes back to a John Baird in Buncombe Co. NC.
Any help would be appreciated. Well, gladly share info on the ones

Hi Carol, Fred and everyone!
Could you please give me more info on... Andrew Baird. Some dates,
places and names of children and/or wife. I have several Andrew's in
our Baird line that I have been working on for my father-in-law.
Thanks a lot for everyone's input on the "Baird" families.
How could there be so many different lines???
It's over~whelming at times!!! Karen L. (NEE:Munger) Baird "" ""
